At least one fought against the First Order somewhere early on in the war, but it was annihilated by the turbolaser of an All Terrain MegaCaliber Six. In the Hosnian Cataclysm, most of the AT-SEs were destroyed, along with much of the New Republic Defense Force. Some were still used on occasional peacekeeping operations. Two were used in the Battle of Jakku, and then the war ended.Īfter the end of the war, there was little need for the vehicle as the Empire was defeated. They designed an improved version of the prototype AT-SE, and began producing it. This strategy was very effective, but the AT-SE was eventually destroyed.Īfter the battle resulted in a New Republic victory, Rothana Heavy Engineering, a subsidiary of Kuat Drive Yards, was reorganized to produce vehicles for the New Republic. It was deployed during the Battle for Kuat Drive Yards, and was able to use it's ion cannons to disable the shields of AT-ATs, and then use its laser cannons to destroy them. The All Terrain Strategic Enforcer was devised, and one prototype was built. Shortly after the founding of the New Republic, they began to receive far more resources, allowing then to much more easily build vehicles.
Eventually, a few Elite AT-TEs, heavily modified AT-TEs began to see service, and proved to be very effective, but were also a priority target for Imperial forces. They were always scavenged and repaired from Clone Wars battlefields, as the Rebellion lacked the resources to manufacture it.
In the Galactic Civil War, a small number of AT-TEs served the Rebel Alliance. However, after the Galactic Empire took over, they replaced it with the feared, but also flawed All Terrain Armored Transport. Other interior configurations existed that had a medical bay or a command center.ĭuring the Clone Wars, the AT-TE became an iconic symbol of the Grand Army of the Republic, fighting for liberty and freedom. Inside the vehicle, they was room for two squads of soldiers, and two speeder bikes.
It was equipped with six legs, which could magnetize to metal surfaces and were slightly taller than the AT-TE's legs. The AT-SE boasted one mass driver cannon on the top, two heavy laser cannons on the front, two on the back, and two heavy ion cannons on the front, below the laser cannons. The All Terrain Strategic Enforcer was heavily based on the design of the older All Terrain Tactical Enforcer, used by the Republic during the Clone Wars.
